5 Time is the First to Repeat

The Sprint Cup series hit the paper clip this past weekend for the first short track race of the season and what a race it was. The green flag was dropped in front of Jimmie Johnson who laid down a blistering lap to snag the pole. The race had a surprising low amount of cautions despite Kurt Busch's car going up in flames after losing his brakes going into turn 1. But the day still belong to Mr. 5 time Jimmie Johnson despite sharing the lead for a large amount with Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch Jimmie Johnson was just to much to handle. Clint Boyer tried to mount a late race charge but stated that "My car was just to tore up to go get him", But the Michael Waltrip Racing driver came home in second. But Jimmie Johnson captured his 8th Martinsville Grandfather clock in his career and is 7th in the last 14 races. But thats not all Johnson is celebrating, he just announced that he and wife wife Chandra Johnson are going to have another child in September
